Production Crew Cooking Series
Eating healthy is the theme! For the past two years Matthew and Company has assembled a solid production crew to produce the web videos for the Simple Cooking with Heart series the American Heart Association is posting to their website. Each year we have produced forty 5-7 minute recipe videos, ten 7-10 minute skill videos and five 5-7 minute recipe videos in Spanish. The goal is to provide web access to simple heart healthy recipes that people can easily add into their daily routines. Each year it takes at least 30 days to pull our production crew, talent, studio, kitchen, and set design together while the Simple Cooking with Heart team are working on just the right recipes, ingredients, skill videos and scripts we will need for the shoot. We shoot approximately 10 videos a day for 5 days. For the last two years, we have used 4 different talent on 50 videos to bring some variety to the finished videos. Our kitchen production crew consists of a Food Stylist, Dean Smith, two Stylist Assistants; Sharon Raney and Ellen Smith, and a Set Dresser, Lisa Bolin. Our Still Photographer was David Bullock. Our set design was done by Roy Metcalf and the studios we used were at MPS Studios in Dallas. Our on set production crew included Matt Trub as Director/Director of Photographer, Camera 1, Homer Martin, Camera Operator, Camera 2 and Set Gaffer, Richard Trub handled all Digital Image Transfers and Grip, Kay Trub was Producer, Lisa Brown worked the Teleprompter, Corey Schiller was our Production Assistant and worked Craft for us. What a great team! We used 4 cameras to shoot the videos. The two main cameras were Canon C300’s with prime lens. The two overhead cameras were also Canon C300’s.
Then the editing begins. We edited on Premier. It took us about 3 months to edit all of the videos to client approved, ready for the web, finished videos. For samples of the project look at this video we produced.
Awesome recipes! Awesome project!
