Time Lapse of the MTV Viacom 3M at SXSW

Time Lapse of the MTV Viacom 3M at SXSW

SXSW always brings out the creative and innovative. Every year we pick up one or two video production jobs in Austin, TX during SXSW and we never know what to expect. This year we were hired by MTV Viacom to shoot time lapse of the 3M at SXSW exhibit build out. We also shot traffic coming and going through out the week long event and the closing DJ performance at the end of the week. The whole 3M at SXSW exhibit was comprised of new and innovative technology from 3M…even the walls. It certainly made for a fascinating time lapse shoot for sure. We also had an opportunity to use our MōVI M10 to grab some great gyro stabilized shots as we moved through the crowds in the exhibit. Our MōVI M10 tech, Richard Trub, is the best. If you want rock solid MōVI shots, give us a call Toll Free: 800.897.7637.

Our MōVI M10 fit right in with all of the new and innovative technology being introduced by 3M. Matthew and Company is proud to have the new technology in house along with an expert MōVI technician. The MōVI 3-axis gyro stabilized camera gimbal is so advanced it redefines the possibilities for camera movement. This versatile new technology allows for steady handheld camera filming replacing Steadi-cam applications and provides solid aerial filming from a UAV/Drone. The brushless motors are the perfect blend of performance and weight. The M10 gives filmmakers total control over the stabilizer with multiple modes for single operators and dual operators. Proprietary control algorithms developed for the MōVI utilize a very high accuracy GPS. The MōVI was perfect for shuffling through the SXSW crowds and gave us some great shots we could have never gotten from a tripod or just handheld. The Canon C500 coupled with the MōVI make a wonderful team. Both of those items are part of our in house inventory.
